  1. Visit Google My Business page at https://www.google.com/intl/en_ph/business/.
  2. Click START NOW to verify your business.
  3. Start optimizing your business.
  4. Download the Google My Business app on your device.
  5. Start managing your business presence online via GMB.

Why use GMB to manage your online presence?

Google My Business is free. You don’t have to pay for anything to download and use the app.  The app can be used to update business information as it happens. You can immediately change any business information like the hours of operation, phone number and location.

You can use Google My Business to add short 30-second videos to help your customers learn more about your business. Videos will improve the variety of your business profile and help you stand out among other businesses of the same niche.

GMB is also a good platform where you can reach out to your customers; where your customers can give reviews and offer suggestions. You will be able to reply graciously for positive reviews and help customers with any negative comments as well.

Google Places was Google’s way to manage business profiles but this was discontinued in 2014. Today, Google My Business is where business owners can manage how their business appears in Google+, Maps and Search.
